A Scientific Visit for Medical Physics Students

The Medical Physics Department, second-year students at the College of Science, organized a scientific visit to Amal Al-Hayat Private Hospital in Najaf Governorate. This visit was part of the applied activities aimed at enhancing students' practical skills.

During the visit, the students were introduced to medical equipment used in diagnosis and treatment, particularly that related to medical physics, such as MRI, PET-CT-SCAN, and Spiral/Helical/CT scan machines. They learned about their operation and their role in diagnosing diseases. They also received a comprehensive explanation from the medical and technical staff regarding radiation safety procedures and how to operate the modern equipment.

This visit aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, develop students' skills, and familiarize them with the future work environment, thus contributing to the preparation of qualified scientific personnel to serve the healthcare sector.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude to the hospital administration and staff for their warm welcome and fruitful cooperation.
