Al-Zahrawi University was established in 2009 and officially recognized in 2014. The university strives for academic and educational excellence by developing effective educational programs and preparing undergraduate students to become leading researchers and contribute to Iraqi society. The university has established state-of-the-art infrastructure, laboratories, and equipment to support and actively contribute to research programs. Al-Zahrawi University comprises the following departments: Department of Dentistry: Its objectives are to graduate competent and specialized professionals in the field of dental health, focusing on the cognitive, motor, and manual skills necessary to meet the needs of community members. The department aims to be a leader in research, education, and health awareness. Department of Pharmacy: Its objectives are to graduate qualified professionals in pharmaceutical sciences who will contribute to improving healthcare standards and enhancing public health and healthcare through innovation in pharmaceutical education, research, and practice, while keeping pace with advancements in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology aims to graduate highly qualified professionals well-versed in all aspects of medical laboratory technology, providing the best methods for patient protection and care, serving the community, raising health awareness, and implementing international standards to enhance scientific standards in laboratories and achieve scientific rigor. The Department of Nursing aims to graduate highly qualified nursing professionals, both scientifically and practically, capable of providing comprehensive nursing care to families and the community. They will be able to meet the challenges arising from rapid changes while encouraging scientific research to fulfill the needs of individuals and society.
